Our Goals: These programs for both parents and youth to help them grow and live to be a positive person in this life journey to themselves and others. TITD helps families cope with the increasing pace and change of modern life. Youth and parents need support with new life skills such as the ability to deal with stress and frustration, effective communication and restoring relationships.
If you are a parent of a lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, or questioning (LGBTQ+) child you may feel alone. You may think that you are the only one who feels this way. You might even believe that no one else could understand your journey. But… You are not alone.
There are other parents, youth, young adults and families out there walking this same journey and they would love to come alongside you. Today is the Day Inc. is a non profit that are either specifically for parents, youth, young adults and families of LGBTQ+ or invite everyone to enter into dialogue with other parents or family members, friends, and LGBTQ+ individuals. The people in this organization would love to listen to your story, talk with you, cry with you, laugh with you, and share their lives with you. Most of the particaipate in this group are not counselors or psychologists; they are simply fellow parents, youth, young adults or families on this journey. They don’t have all the answers. They may not have their theological positions all figured out. But these fellows know what you are going through and want to help.
Today is the Day (TITD) support groups of parents, youth, young adults who come from all different backgrounds. They may not have the same views as you or feel the exact same way about this topic but they will listen and give advice with compassion and understanding. However, what our have in common is a desire to love on each one and to make sure they stay true to their self.
